New Faculty Events
The Faculty Development Center plans multiple events for the New Faculty Institute during the course of the year. These include one-to-three-day Workshops, informal informational lunchtime meetings on a variety of topics and seminars all aimed at support, networking, mentoring, for junior, untenured faculty.
New Faculty Institute Workshops are mini-courses designed to enrich faculty in the areas of pedagogy, technology, and assessment, to name a few.
The informal lunchtime meetings with Faculty are informal lunchtime meetings with quick take-aways on topics relevant to faculty teaching. Generally, these are held on the last Friday of each month during the fall and spring semesters.

As a new faculty member, you will have the opportunity to learn more about the Faculty Development Center, the University and offices and services on the campus of UMass Lowell. Introductions and a panel discussion will be followed by drinks and hors d’oeuvres as well as a chance for you to visit the informational booths.
