Performance Groups : Music : UMass Lowell

The UMass Lowell Department of Music offers both University students and area high school students the opportunity to perform in several types of performance groups.

For students in Grades 6 through 12, there are several options:

University Ensembles are Open to all students enrolled at the University. The first three listed require no audition. Auditions for all other ensembles take place in September, within the first two to three days of school (see Dept of Music posting, first floor, Durgin Hall). All students, music majors AND non-music majors alike audition for seating placement. Students should prepare a solo work (District/All-State level) when auditioning for classical ensembles. Something from the audition list (found under "Prospective Students", audition requirements) would also be appropriate.
