UML Researchers Presented at Second MTTC Annual Nanotech Investors Forum 


UML researchers, Dr. Julie Chen, professor of mechanical engineering, and Dr. Arthur Watterson, professor of chemistry, presented their nanotechnology research at the Second Annual Nanotech Investors Forum. Organized by the MTTC and sponsored by Fish and Richardson the Forum took place on December 4, 2006 at the Newton Marriott Hotel.  

 

Dr. Julie ChenDr. Chen presented the research development and commercial

opportunities that are generated as a result of the work conducted by the NSF-funded Center for High-Rate Nanomanufacturing (CHN) and the state-funded Nanotechnology Center of Excellence (NCOE).  For more information regarding to the partnership with the two centers, please visit www.uml.edu/nano.

  Dr. Arthur Watterson

Dr. Watterson presented his research using nanoparticles as a platform for improving on the contrast agents for MRI and nuclear imaging needs. The same nanoparticles can be utilized for efficacious drug delivery mechanism.
