NERC - New England Renaissance Conference

Call For Papers

The Program Committee of the 2012 NERC at UMass Lowell welcomes individual paper proposals from scholars who work on the European Renaissance, broadly defined as 1350-1650 and ranging across the disciplines of history, literature, music, cultural studies, theater, and art history. Proposals must clearly relate to the proposed theme of ‘Classical Revival and Reception in the Renaissance’; the subject matter may be either original research or historiographical. Papers should be 20 minutes in length, and must be delivered in English.

Proposals should include the following items:
  • Abstract of 200 words
  • Title
  • One-page c.v., including current position, contact information, and relevant publications or prior presentations

These three items should be sent in one pdf or word document as an attachment via email to prior to May 1, 2012. All submissions will be acknowledged. Decisions should be announced by mid-June 2012.
