2009 Course Schedule

LIRA operates on a two-semester plan during the spring and fall. A selection of study groups that usually meet for two hours, mornings or afternoons, are offered. Generally the semesters run eight weeks. Members may participate in as many courses as desired. Trips, outings to museums, concerts, plays, and sites of interest are common features of study groups. In the winter and summer between semesters, intersession programs are offe?red on Wednesdays only. A different topic is explored each week.

PLEASE NOTE:  LIRA’s new home is in the Wannalancit Building on Suffolk Street, Lowell.  Parking is available in the IPI lot on the corner of Pawtucket and Aiken Streets and in the parking garage on Pawtucket Street next to the ball field.  You must have an ID card to get in.

NOTE: In the event of a storm, information will be available on radio 980 AM, WCAP. If UMass Lowell or Lowell Public Schools are closed, the programs will be canceled.
