September 24 - Dorothy Bromage, “They All Did It”
Her program of July 30 on compositions that are theme and variations will be presented. Selections are on audio cassettes, CD’s, video tapes, and piano rolls with examples taken from Baroque, Classical, Romantic, and the 20th Century periods. Listeners will analyze a theme and track variations.

October 1 - “Exploring Chinese Aesthetics”, Peabody Essex Museum, Salem
Currently 6 small exhibits from the museum’s permanent collection are featured. The
Chinese Aesthetics has 30 objects. Maori people are represented as well as works from Japan, Bombay, India, Korea, and Native American. October 8 - Art League of Lowell and Brush Art Gallery, 246 & 256 Market St.
At 10 a.m., Steve Syerson, president of the league will talk with the group about artists exhibiting works on Market St. The second hour, Linda Poras will give a tour of the Brush Art Gallery which is directly behind the first location.

October 15 - “Keepers of Tradition: Art and Folk Heritage in Mass.”, National Heritage Museum, 33 Marrett Rd., Lexington
Some craftsmen demonstrated their work at the Folk Festival in Lowell in August. You may use the audio tour to self-guide. There is no admission charge. Meet at Hannaford Supermarket parking lot at Drum Hill in Chelmsford at 9:15 am to car pool.

The Renaissance painter’s masterpieces, Primavera and Birth of Venus will be the subject of her power point presentation.

October 29 - Bill Patton, “Famous New Englanders, Part I and II”
The former newspaper man returns to present a two part illustrated talk about a number of people found in history books, artists, and authors.

November 5 - “Tiles, Caravels, and Gold” Connie Lanseigne-Case
In April she was in Portugal with Elderhostel for 12 days visiting five regions from the resort town, Estoril in the south to the second-largest city, Oporto in the north.
November 13 (Thursday) - Boston Symphony Orchestra, open rehearsal
