Lt. Gov. Murray Joins Hundreds at CITA Conference
Chairs Panel on Urban University/Community Partnerships

 
Lt. Governor Timothy Murray
Massachusetts Lt. Gov. Timothy Murray chaired a panel discussion at the recent CITA conference hosted by UMass Lowell.  Murray drew on his extensive experience creating successful initiatives between colleges and communities in Worcester.
 

Massachusetts Lt. Gov. Timothy Murray joined hundreds of participants at the recent international CITA conference hosted by UMass Lowell. 

The conference, a gathering of academics and professionals from around the world who shared highlights and components of successful university/community partnerships, attracted participants from 10 nations and nearly 40 universities. 

Murray chaired a panel discussion among the presidents of EdLink, a partnership of the five public higher education institutions in Northeast Massachusetts formed last year to address regional issues and identify economic development opportunities.  The panel investigated the leaders’ experiences in promoting university/community programs in large urban areas.
