Business Minor
What Is A Minor in Business Administration?
The minor in business administration is a
focused set of seven courses.
Why Should I Enroll in the Business Minor?
- It provides management training, which is a desirable trait that
will give you a competitive edge in most industries.
- It will provide training which will likely lead to more rapid career
advancement.
- It allows easy transition into an M.B.A. programp; students who successfully
complete this Business Minor will be allowed to reduce the UMass Lowell
M.B.A. down to 10 courses from 16 (pending individual course approval
by the College of Management).
How Do I Enroll in this Program?
Full time undergraduates who are majoring in a discipline other
than Business Administration are eligible to enroll in the Minor in Business.
To enroll you must:
- Indicate your intention to pursue this minor with your current advisor.
- Begin coursework by taking Economics, Financial Accounting, and Marketing
Principles — students who successfully complete these courses
will be eligible to continue with the minor.
- File a Declaration of Minor form with the College of Management before
registering for 300/400 level courses.
