Sherre Strickland is Associate Professor of Accounting in the College of Management. Primary teaching interests are auditing, accounting information systems, and financial accounting.

Dr. Strickland's primary research interests include security in and audit of microcomputer environments, internal auditing in the international arena, and issues relevant to external auditing. Dr. Strickland has published in such journals as Journal of Accountancy, The Ohio CPA Journal, Internal Auditor, and Woman CPA.

Prior to joining the faculty at University of Massachusetts Lowell, Dr. Strickland held positions in public accounting and private industry, and has taught at various institutions. She holds a Ph.D. from Texas A&M University and is a Certified Public Accountant.
