Norma Powell is Associate Professor of Accounting in the College of Management with specializations in cost management systems, financial accounting, international accounting, and financial management.

Dr. Powell's primary research interests are in the cost management systems, decision making models, and performance in the domestic and international environments.

Dr. Powell has published in various journals and contributed to several books. Some of her international works have been presented at numerous conferences in various countries.

Prior to joining the faculty at the University of Massachusetts Lowell, Dr. Powell was Secretary-Treasurer for Computer Records, Inc., a faculty resident in auditing with Arthur Anderson & Co., and taught at University of Houston - Clear Lake and Bryant College. She holds a Ph.D. from Texas A&M; University and is a CPA.
