George E. Nogler is an Associate Professor of Accounting in the College of Management where he specializes in financial accounting and auditing issues. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the American Accounting Association. He has published articles in many journals including the Journal of Financial Economics, Auditing: A Journal of Practice and Theory, Accounting Horizons, and The Journal of Commercial Bank Lending. His current research interests include aspects of the life cycle of a business and financial reporting including, bankruptcy, merger, financial distress and going concern issues.

Dr. Nogler holds both D.B.A and M.B.A. degrees from Boston University, an M.A. (English) from Assumption College, and a B.S. from Bentley College. He is also licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in Massachusetts.
