Leo L. Pipino is Professor Emeritus of Management Information Systems. His research interests are in the areas of information and data quality, the application of collaborative technologies to business, and the use of expert systems and neural networks in business applications. He is the author of over thirty refereed and professional papers. He has published in such journals as Sloan Management Review, Decision Support Systems, Journal of Management Information Systems, Expert Systems with Applications, and Behavioral Science. Professor Pipino is on the editorial board of The New Review of Applied Expert Systems. He also served on the organizing committee that established the Association of Information Systems, an international academic association.

Prior to joining the faculty at the University of Massachusetts Lowell, Prof. Pipino taught at the California State University at Sacramento, University of Missouri - St. Louis, and Babson College. Dr. Pipino has also spent a number of years in industry.

Professor Pipino holds a Ph.D. from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
