Faculty & Staff > Management Faculty > James P. Monahan James P. Monahan is Professor of Operations Management, specializing in production and inventory control. He also maintains an active interest in the field of Investments and Portfolio Theory, and has written more than twenty-five articles and papers on these topics. Prof. Monahan's work has appeared in Management Science, International Journal of Production Research, Chicago Journal of Business, Journal of Finance, The American Statistician, and a number of other professional journals. His present research interest focuses on mathematical models of flexibility for manufacturing firms. Prior to joining the faculty at the University of Massachusetts Lowell, Prof. Monahan spent several years at the Graduate School of Management at Boston University where he taught courses in operations management and business logistics. He also has served as consultant to variety of corporations in the private sector. Professor Monahan holds a Ph.D. from Columbia University. Teaches:
