Professor LaBay is the Director of Management Graduate Programs and a member of the College of Management faculty. Specializing in marketing management and marketing research, he has written a number of articles in the area of consumer attitudes and purchase behavior.

Prior to joining the College of Management in 2000, Professor LaBay was the director of the MBA program at Franklin Pierce College, and previously served as the director of the Center for Leadership at Endicott College. He has also held faculty appointments at the University of New Hampshire and at Bradford College.

A native of Portland, Maine, he holds a Ph.D. in Marketing from the University of Michigan. Active in civic affairs in Newburyport, he is currently a member of the Zoning Board of Appeals and previously served for 15 years on the Board of Health. He also maintains an automotive consulting and appraising practice in Newburyport.
