Colin Balogh is an Assistant Professor of Finance in the College of Management where he specializes in corporate finance. He is a member of the Financial Management Association and The American Real Estate Society. He has published articles in The Appraisal Journal, Real Estate Issues, Real Estate Review, Common Ground, and Banker and Tradesman. His current research interests concern market efficiency, real estate valuation, and REITs. Prior to becoming an academic, Professor Balogh was actively involved for many years in commercial real estate brokerage and development in California. In addition to his academic pursuits Professor Balogh has traveled to Estonia during its transition from a Soviet Republic to a then newly forming independent democratic county. While in Estonia, he advised government agencies and real estate groups regarding the establishment of private real estate ownership and real estate industry practices. Dr. Balogh holds a Ph.D. from Georgia State University and a B.S. from the University of Colorado Boulder.
