Educational Background
He holds a D.B.A. and an M.B.A. from Indiana University, Bloomington; and an M.B.A. from the Faculty of Management Studies at University of Delhi, Delhi, India. He also holds an M.S. in Solid State Physics and a B.S. (Hons.) in Physics from the University of Delhi.
Scholarly Interests
His main areas of research interest are in corporate finance and entrepreneurship in high technology industries. Dr. Puri has published in a variety of areas in journals such as the International Journal of Finance and Advances in Competitiveness Research. He has also made numerous presentations at national and regional meetings of academic and professional societies.
Bio Sketch
Yash R. Puri is a professor of finance and international business in the College of Management. He is the cofounder of a company focusing on the development of advanced technologies for national defense applications and previously worked for a high technology semiconductor and photovoltaic equipment manufacturer as VP Finance. He has also been actively involved in externally funded grants and contracts.
