Educational Background In addition to his professional certification, Dr. Joseph has a Ph.D. in Accounting from Temple University and an MBA from Pittsburgh State University. Scholarly Interests Professor Joseph’s current research interests include strategic cost management and systems. He has published a number of research articles in such journals as Management Accounting Quarterly, Advances in Public Interest Accounting, Accounting Enquiries, and Journal of Business Research, and has presented research papers at National and Regional conferences of the American Accounting Association.
Bio Sketch George Joseph is an assistant professor of accounting in the College of Management. His teaching areas are Managerial and Cost Accounting. Professor Joseph is widely traveled, and has a range of professional and cultural experience. A Chartered Accountant from India, he has worked in professional accounting firms (including an affiliate of Coopers and Lybrand) and industry. Prior to joining UML, he taught managerial accounting and systems courses at Savannah State University, Temple University and Spring Arbor College.
