Professor Mandell has been teaching at UMass/Lowell since 1978. She has special teaching interests in the fields of learning and conditioning, research methods, and research ethics. Most of the research that she has conducted has centered in the area of operant conditioning. She is currently actively involved in the development of the UMass Lowell Behavioral Intervention in Autism and Developmental Disability Specialization.
