Bio Sketch

Meg A. Bond is a professor of psychology and director of the Center for Women and Work at the University of Massachusetts Lowell.  Her work focuses on the interrelationships among issues of diversity, empowerment and organizational dynamics.  Her past publications have addressed sexual harassment, collaboration among diverse constituencies, and empowerment issues of underrepresented groups in community and organizational settings.  She teaches courses in community psychology, workplace diversity, and interpersonal dynamics and has been teaching since 1989.

She is a past president of the Society for Community Research and Action (SCRA), past chair of the APA Committee on Women, and a national board member of the Society for the Psychological Study of Social Issues (SPSSI). She is a fellow of SCRA, SPSSI, Society for the Psychology of Women, and the American Psychological Association, as well as a member of the Senior Editorial Board for the American Journal of Community Psychology.  She received an award for Distinguished Contributions to Community Psychology from the SCRA in 2001.
