Scholarly Interests His particular research and practice interests are in local community development and the strengthening of local community life.
Bio Sketch He has taught at UMass Lowell part-time since 1974, and full-time from 1997-2003, during which time he served as Graduate Program Coordinator for several years. He continues to teach and participate in Department activities. His four books deal with skills, ideas, and personal qualities relating to community organization and improvement. His publications have also appeared in the Encyclopedia of Psychology and the Handbook of Community Psychology, as well in more popular publications such as The Futurist and Parade.
