Bio Sketch

Dr. Trela received her doctorate in 2001 and has been involved in higher education and program development since her graduation.  She has served the UMass Lowell Psychology Department as an instructor since 1997, teaching courses in General Psychology, Social Psychology, Interpersonal Relationships, Child and Adolescent Development and Adult Development. 

Dr. Trela has had an opportunity to teach and develop courses in Psychology and Business at other schools of higher education since her graduation: Assessment and Measures in Psychology, Behavior Modification, Development Psychology, Team Development, Group Behavior, Communication, Conflict Management, Organizational Concepts and Leadership and Organizational Behavior.  Past research areas include conflict management and program development/assessment, leadership development, interpersonal relationships, behavioral competencies.
