B.S. (Math), United States Naval Academy; M.S.E.E. (Communications Engineering), Naval Postgraduate School; M.A. (Industrial/Organizational Psychology), University of New Haven; M.A. & Ph.D. (Clinical Psychology), University of Louisville.

Dr. Lombart’s research focuses on expertise in psychotherapy case formulation, examining differences among cognitive-behavioral and psychodynamic therapists who are experts in case formulation, experienced therapists, and novice therapists. He has also researched personality factors associated with the use of complimentary and alternative medicine and personality factors associated with preferences in stress reduction modalities.

Dr. Lombart retired as a U.S. Navy submariner in 1994 while serving as the Assistant Chief of Staff for Plans on the staff of Commander Submarine Group TWO in Groton, CT. He completed his clinical psychology internship at Hutchings Psychiatric Center and St. Joseph’s Hospital in Syracuse, NY (2000-2001). He was previously in private practice in Louisville, KY where he provided guardianship evaluations and expert witness testimony for the Jefferson County District Court (2004-2007). He has previously taught quantitative methods, research methods, introductory psychology, personality psychology, abnormal psychology, and social psychology. He is the former chair of the Ethics Committee of the Kentucky Psychological Association.
