The UML Department of Music offers both University students and area high school students the opportunity to perform in several types of performance groups.
For students in Grades 6-12, there are several options:
University Ensembles are Open to all students enrolled at the University. The first three listed require no audition. Auditions for all other ensembles take place in September, within the first 2-3 days of school (see Dept of Music posting, first floor, Durgin Hall). All students, music majors AND non-music majors alike audition for seating placement. Students should prepare a solo work (District/All-State level) when auditioning for classical ensembles. Something from the audition list (found under "Prospective Students", audition requirements) would also be appropriate.
