UMass Lowell Model UN (UMLUN)

Judging for UMLMUN awards will be based on five criteria:

1. Remaining in character. Delegates will be expected to know the character and position of the nation that they represent and to act in accordance with that position.

2. Participation. Delegates who have actively participated in committee proceedings will be given special consideration.

3. Diplomacy. Delegates will be expected to act diplomatically while attending UMLMUN. They will be expected to treat both fellow delegates and conference staff with the utmost respect.

4. Parliamentary Procedure. Delegates who exhibit great understanding of parliamentary procedure and use it accordingly will be given special consideration.  

5. Position Papers. The timeliness and quality of position papers will be taken into serious consideration.

The recipient of the Best Delegation Award will go to the delegation who has best met all five judging criteria as a whole. All awards will be distributed during closing ceremonies on the final day of the conference.
