David HancockDavid Hancock was the 2005 Jack Kerouac Writer-in-Residence at the University of Massachusetts Lowell.

 

Hancock has written eight plays that have been performed in theaters nationwide. His works include "The Convention of Cartography" and "The Race of the Ark Tattoo", which both won Obie Awards.

 

David Hancock makes his home in Providence, Rhode Island. During his time at the University of Massachusetts Lowell, the playwright spent time teaching Creative Writing- Drama, as well as performing a stage reading for the university in the Spring of 2005.
