Bio Sketch
Dr. Cares joined the faculty at UMAass Lowell in 2007. Before her graduate training, she worked in a domestic violence and sexual assault services agency. Her experience there sparked her interest in researching the causes and consequences of victimization, especially sexual assault and intimate partner violence. She continues to remain involved with victim service providers through serving on various committees and working together with agencies on research.
