Research interests include: photonic crystals for THz applications, molecular beam epitaxy growth of III-V semiconductor materials, semiconductor device fabrication,
THz quantum cascade lasers, quantum dots, meta-materials, fiber optics, and optoelectronic packaging technology.

Bio Sketch

Dr. Li is a Research Scientist and Lab Manager at the Photonics Center, University of Massachusetts Lowell. She was a Senior Engineer at Corning Lasertron, Inc., Bedford, MA, where she concentrated on the development of optoelectronic packaging and the optical design for high-power semiconductor pump lasers. The group delivered the highest qualified 14xx-nm pump lasers power in a standard 14-pin package in the world in 2002.
