Bio Sketch

Jeannie Sargent Judge published Two Natures Met: George Herbert and the Incarnation in 2004. She contributed a chapter on George Herbert’s Communion poems to the book Images of Matter: A Collection of Essays on the Renaissance, which was published in 2005. She also published an article on George Herbert in a refereed journal (1999) and presented two conference papers on Herbert’s lyrics in 2002.  She has reviewed manuscripts on the Renaissance poet Edmund Spenser and on George Herbert’s prose work.  She published two articles on women writers (Jane Austen; Kate Chopin and Emily Symonds) in refereed journals, presented a conference paper on women writers, and gave an invited lecture on women writers.  She wrote three encyclopedia articles on poets: Richard Wilbur, Sara Teasdale, and Edna St. Vincent Millay.
