Prospective Students

Students interested in careers as economists are encouraged to acquire mathematics skills, take our more quantitative course offerings and pursue advanced work in their chosen subject area through the directed studies option. However, we have designed the majority of our courses to meet the needs of students interested in an economics major as a foundation for careers in fields such as law, diplomacy, management or financial services who may not require or desire as high a level of mathematical sophistication.
