Welcome

The Environmental, Earth and Atmospheric Sciences Department offers both undergraduate and graduate degrees. The undergraduate program leads to a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science and includes concentrations in environmental studies, atmospheric science (meteorology) and geoscience (geology).  All programs provide students with a sound technical background geared towards employment or graduate study.

The graduate program offers a Master of Science in Atmospheric Science and a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Atmospheric Physics.

The Department works closely with other UML departments including biology, chemistry, computer sciences, mathematics and physics.  Additionally, it maintains specialized teaching and research laboratories and works cooperatively with the Center for Atmospheric Research.  Courses of study integrate laboratory work, field studies and "hands-on" experiences.
