Information for Current Students

Student Organizations
Academic societies include the American Meteorological Society, the Society of Environmental Scientists, and Sigma Gamma Epsilon, a national earth sciences honor society open to all qualified students. Our students tend to gather and work together on projects and homework in the Department's Map Library and Weather Laboratory. Many lifelong friendships have been created through this student to student collaboration.

These student organizations sponsor speakers, organize field trips, and provide career and job placement seminars.
