Prospective Students


Our Physical Therapy Department is committed to providing a supportive, nurturing environment for students interested in pursuing a career in exercise physiology and/or physical therapy. Our faculty is experienced in teaching, scholarship and service to the community. Several faculty members have earned clinical specialties through the American College of Sports Medicine and the American Physical Therapy Association. Faculty members have demonstrated expertise that is on the “cutting edge” of clinical practice and research to prepare you for the complex and ever changing healthcare environment of the twenty-first century.

Department Attributes

  • Laboratory courses have small teacher student ratios to allow for greater feedback in developing clinical skills.
  • State of the art laboratories for motion analysis, balance, and cardiopulmonary evaluation.

Special Programs for Students

A number of student assistantships are awarded each year to assist faculty with research, teaching, Community Outreach and program implementation.
