Bio Sketch Lisa received her PhD in Nursing from the University of Massachusetts-Boston. Prior to this, she received her MS from the University of Massachusetts-Boston in Nursing Administration with a clinical focus in Gerontological Nursing. Before joining the faculty at UMass Lowell, Lisa was the Coordinator of the Nursing Learning Resource Center in the College of Nursing and Health Professions at the University of Massachusetts-Boston. She brings with her experience in teaching Physical Examination and Health Assessment to undergraduate students, as well as experience in the use of Distance Learning technologies. Lisa's research has focused on the EverCare Program, a Collaborative MD/NP Model of Care Delivery in Nursing Home Settings. Currently, Lisa teaches 33:313 Nursing Assessment and Skills course and labs to first semester junior nursing students, Health Promotion and Risk Reduction of Families II clinical, and Family Seminar to second semester junior nursing students. In addition, Lisa teaches Theoretical Foundations for Advanced Nursing Practice to nurses in the graduate nursing program. Lisa's area of research focuses on Long Term Care, Quality Improvement Initiatives in Nursing Homes, and Nurse Practitioner Practice Models in Nursing Homes. Lisa is married and has two children.
