Ms. Egan is interested in bridging the gap between industry and academia by bringing her biomaterials research knowledge and introducing students to applications of polymers in the medical field.

Ms. Egan is a development engineer working at the publically held company, Smith & Nephew Endoscopy.  She is the author of professional publications and patents, and through her research she feels she is positively assisting in bringing new materials to the market.
