Welcome from the Chair

Welcome to the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Massachusetts at Lowell. UML is a four-year university located in the northeast Massachusetts high-tech region. We offer an ABET accredited undergraduate mechanical engineering degree, as well as masters and doctoral programs. Our principal research areas are in composite materials, nanomanufacturing, modal analysis, solar energy, acoustics, MEMS and baseball.
