Ph.D. Environmental Systems Engineering (Clemson University, 1997 ) B.S. Earth, Atmospheric, and Planetary Sciences (Massachusetts Institute of Technology, 1993)

After graduate school, Dr. Miller worked briefly for the environmental consulting firm ARCADIS Geraghty & Miller. His specialty was computer modeling of groundwater flow and contaminant fate and transport. He was also briefly a professor at Alice Lloyd College in Kentucky. Now he is a full-time novelist and adjunct professor. His first novel, Zero Hour, was released in January, 2003. His second, Deep Current, is scheduled for release in March, 2004. His third novel, now in editing, should be released in 2005. His works of fiction could be described as scientific thrillers. He has taught environmental science at Clemson University (South Carolina) and at Middlesex Community College (Massachusetts). His primary academic interests include multicomponent reactive transport modeling, understanding complex global cause-and-effect relationships, and trying to foresee the future of the global environmental crisis.
