Purpose:
The program will provide an opportunity to learn about factors in the environment that affect Lawrence's children. Information will be provided about how to identify, manage, and prevent environmental health risks and participants will share strategies to address children's illnesses that may be caused by the factors in their environment.
Upon completion of this workshop, participants will be able to:
- Identify pathways and routes of exposure to environmental health hazards.
- Describe the relationship between individuals or populations and the community environment, including work environment.
- Identify the populations made vulnerable by personal characteristics to environmental health hazards.
- Understand the mechanisms and pathways of exposure to environmental health hazards.
- Describe prevention and control strategies for environmental hazards.
