Inauguration Week Schedule


The Inauguration of Chancellor Martin T. Meehan
Friday, April 4 at 10 a.m.

The next chapter in the history of UMass Lowell will be marked by a ceremony rich in academic tradition. University of Massachusetts President Jack Wilson and Board of Trustees Chair Robert Manning ’84 will join numerous dignitaries, including U.S. House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Gov. Deval Patrick to officially launch a new vision for UMass Lowell. Thanks in great part to the generosity of inaugural sponsors, led by Charles Hoff '66, members of the University community and the public are invited to attend this free event, as well as the forums, lectures and exhibits occurring throughout inauguration week under the theme, Building a New Vision Together: Excellence Through Innovation.

* Inaugural concert tickets, which include the earlier reception, are $100 per person. Proceeds will be used for scholarships for music students and other campus initiatives. Buy tickets online

** Inaugural benefit gala tickets, which also include admission to the concert reception and performance, are $1,000 per person. Proceeds will go toward the Chancellor Martin T. Meehan Educational Excellence Fund which will provide scholarships for deserving students as well as support campus initiatives. Buy tickets online

*** Living the Legacy - Concert for Peace is free for UML students with ID and UML String Project students and their parents. General public admission is $10, $5 for students and seniors.
