Achieving Excellence through PartnershipsDate: April 1, 7:30 to 9 a.m. Location: Wannalancit Conference Center Description: This program will have a three-part focus - Community Partnerships in Lowell and Lawrence, Business Partnerships, and Health and Education Partnerships. UMass Lowell is internationally recognized for its innovative community-university partnerships that bring faculty, staff and students together with community partners to solve problems and develop new solutions. In addition, UMass Lowell faculty and business leaders will discuss successful partnerships between the University and business related to innovation in the Greater Lowell area. Lastly, this program will include a discussion related to the healthcare industry and the partnerships formed with UMass Lowell’s graduate program in Health Management and Policy, involvement with the University’s education programs and new research collaborations. In addition to UMass Lowell faculty and students, participants include state Sen. Steven Panagiotakos; Winfield Brown, Lowell General Hospital vice president for administration; and Michael McGee, Nypro director of technology.
