UML Home >   Chancellor's Office > Congressional Archives Printer Friendly Printer Friendly

Date: March 31-April 4

Location: O’Leary Library Lobby all week; Recreation Center beginning April 2

Description: This exhibition honors the achievements of Martin T. Meehan during his years of public service, culminating with his Congressional experience, when he represented the Massachusetts 5th District from 1992–2007. This project is part of the celebration of the Chancellor’s inauguration and includes memorabilia and artifacts from the Massachusetts 5th Congressional District Archives of the University of Massachusetts Lowell Libraries. Located in both O’Leary Library and the Recreation Center, the exhibition was conceived as an introduction to his life and work for the campus community and public, especially as he leads the University in “Building a Vision Together: Excellence through Innovation.” The exhibition will continue in Lydon Library following inauguration week. Sponsored by the University Libraries, the Office of Outreach and the Art Department, the exhibit will be on view March 31 – Dec. 19, 2008.
