Gathering at the Well Forum Traditionally, women gathered at the well to collect water and to share common issues, turning an onerous task into a source of community
and strength. The Center for Women and Works' Gathering at the Well
Forum is designed to tape into that strength by promoting dialogue on
issues of women and work, with a determined focus on raising awareness
and creating solutions that directly challenge and, ultimately, erode
inequalities.
Our Gathering at the Well forum is an annual event that addresses cutting-edge issues related to healthy workplaces for women. We invite high profile speakers and local action-oriented discussants to cover topics that build on the expertise of CWW Associates. Diverse individuals and groups from throughout New England join us each year: community members, activists, policy makers, as well as university faculty, staff, and students. Our Spring 2011 event will take place on April 7. You can read more about this year's events as well as previous Gathering at the Well events in the 2011 announcement (doc). | |
