

Events Each year, the CWW sponsors and co-sponsors a number of events on campus and in the community. We also regularly collaborate on events with other groups including the UML Labor Extension Program, Lowell Women’s Week, and the UML Gender Studies Program. CWW has a space available for small events, meetings, and working lunches that help promote the mission of the organization. To check availability, please call the center at (978) 934-4380. 10th Anniversary Event This year marks the 10th anniversary of the founding of the Center for Women and Work, and to mark the occasion, we are hosting very special event! Celebrating Everyday Advocates for Working Women Honoring people who, through their ordinary actions, have had an extraordinary impact On Thursday, October 23, 2008, UMass Lowell’s Center for Women and Work will celebrate "Everyday Advocates for Working Women" at our 10th anniversary breakfast. We will be honoring Massachusetts Congresswoman Niki Tsongas and other community and business leaders, as well as celebrating individuals who have had an extraordinary impact on the lives of working women through their ordinary everyday actions.
