Alyssa Melaragni
Bio Sketch
Alyssa graduate Dracut high school in 2008 and joined the undergraduate program in Physics and is planning to pursue a career in Astrophysics. She started working at the Photonics Center in January 2009
Her research interest at the Photonics Center consists of preparing samples for Transmission Electron Microscope (TEM) measurements. The TEM uses electrons to penetrate materials that are a few hundred nanometers thick. Samples start around 1 millimeter thick and majority of thinning that the samples go through is done by hand.
Alyssa's interests outside of academics and work include writing, drawing and painting. She also enjoys reading books, watching movies and hanging out with friends.
