Bio Sketch
Janet Barnes-Farrell is Professor and Division Head for the graduate program in Industrial/Organizational Psychology at the University of Connecticut and Director of the Industrial Psychology Applications Center (IPAC). She also contributes to the Occupational Health Psychology graduate concentration at the University of Connecticut. Dr. Barnes-Farrell is part of a six-nation team investigating work and off-the-job conditions that contribute to stress, well-being, and work ability in healthcare workers. Her current research centers on psychosocial aspects of work and aging and on the process and consequences of work-life balance for workers and organizations, with special emphasis on the work-life concerns of older workers. She has extensive experience with design, implementation and analysis of large-scale survey-based field studies.
