CPH-NEW: Promoting and Protecting Worker Health

Services


The personnel of CPH-NEW are available to assist in a variety of ways, including:

 

  • Facility walk-throughs for hazard identification
  • In-depth ergonomic, psychosocial, and biomechanical analyses
  • Focus groups on health behaviors and health outcomes in the work environment
  • Analysis of compensation claims, OSHA log data, or absenteeism data due to musculoskeletal disorders, cardiovascular disorders and other potentially stress-related conditions
  • Analysis of workforce turnover in relation to features of the work environment
  • Recommendations for job redesign
  • Participatory intervention groups
  • Training for workers, supervisors, engineers, occupational health nurses, etc.
  • Literature reviews on selected topics
  • Policy and technology reviews
  • Worksite health promotion program design, implementation,  and evaluation
  • Feasibility studies and needs assessment
  • Development of measurable outcomes and action steps for sustainability of worksite health promotion programs aimed at positive health behavior change
