Shpend Qamili
Research Assistant; Community Psychology Master's Candidate, Department of Psychology
Mr. Qamili is a native of Kosova and joined the Project A research team in the spring of 2007, assisting Dr. Marian Flum with qualitative research activities. Before coming to the United States, he worked for the UNHCR, the United Nations refugee agency in Sarajevo and Prishtina, in the aftermath of the war in Balkans. He also has worked as an interpreter and has been involved as a volunteer in a number of community projects in his country. In his role as research assistant, Mr. Qamili will assist with coordinating focus group logistics and analysis. He will also assist Dr. Flum with implementing a participatory health promotion program intervention in long-term care facilities, as well as conducting literature reviews.
