Jon C. Boyer, M.S.

Mr. Boyer has been with CPH-NEW since its inception as the lead ergonomics methods developer, field research coordinator, and ergonomics exposure assessor for Project A. He has a background in clinical exercise physiology, sports medicine, corporate wellness, and industrial management. His graduate training was in occupational ergonomics and industrial hygiene and he is a doctoral candidate in occupational ergonomics at the University of Massachusetts Lowell. For the past 5 years he has worked in the area of exposure assessment of physical ergonomic and work-organization risk factors among clinical and non-clinical health-care workers. Mr. Boyer is strongly influenced by theories of sociotechnical systems analysis and participatory ergonomics principles of workplace intervention. His primary work interests surround methods development for translation of ergonomic exposure assessment and musculoskeletal epidemiology research findings into practical health-care system interventions.
