Dr. Morse is an associate professor, ergonomist and epidemiologist in the UCHC ErgoCenter and Occupational Health Center. He has extensive experience with worker education as head of two OSHA-funded training grants, occupational disease surveillance as part of the CT joint program with the Departments of Labor, Public Health and Workers' Compensation (and coordinator of the annual Northeast States Occupational Disease Surveillance conference), and research as co-PI on NIOSH-funded projects in ergonomics, including the CUSP population-based survey and a cohort study on vibration. He has served as co-chair of the labor-based CT Council for Occupational Safety and Health, and as an ergonomic consultant to prominent corporations including ESPN, United Technologies and many state agencies. He has published extensively on the under-reporting of musculoskeletal disorders and patterns of occupational disease incidence. He has coordinated extensive professional education programs for physicians and occupational health professionals.
