Bio Sketch

Shawn Barry got his M.A. from Department of Regional Economic and Social Development program at UMass Lowell. He has been with CFWC for nine years, developing and facilitating college awareness programs in diverse public schools for the GEAR UP Lowell Partnership program and the Science of Small things project. He has facilitated numerous workshops for teachers, parents and students and has experience planning after-school and summer programs. He participated in the New England Educational Opportunity Association’s Leadership Institute in 2008-09. He is currently managing the Science of Small Things, a National Science Foundation-  funded nanotechnology program for Lowell public middle school students, and continues to work on the GEAR UP Lowell Partnership program.
