Management of the Laboratory

The CMCL is operated mainly as a user-centered facility, but it also provides contract services for internal and external academic and industrial collaborators. Samples and experiments run in the CMCL facility are consistent with the educational and research missions of the University. While research contracts with industry are encouraged, the CMCL is not used for sample analyses that do not lead to publications, education of students, or long-term research collaborations.

A steering committee composed of UML faculty is appointed by the chancellor and provides oversight of the laboratory. The laboratory manager directs its daily operation.

Training and technical support are provided for all users.
